Poll: How Often Do You Feed You Fish?

Ok, so i'm just curious, i'm not sure if there's been a poll like this already, but how often do you feed your fish? I know it differs for some fish, but i'm trying to get a general feel. I personally feed my fish 2 times a day.

It all depends on the fish though.

Fry I feed a few times a day sometimes but if they were large pedatory fish they may only need feeding once a week.

Overall most of my fish are feed once aday unless there's a special reason not to.

I try to vary the times I feed and with different foods, so on one day they'd have some flakes at some point in the morning and frozen blocks in the evening, and on another day they might have some veg, and a different brand of flakes.

If they're really lucky I'll be bothered enough to grow-out some brine shrimp for them.

And as Jayjay said, it all depends on the fish. My common plec will eat continously, so I give him a few wafers and some cucumber almost everyday.

I voted for twice a day - I just can't resist all the begging But I do try to starve them for half a day once or twice a week

Had to do other, my smaller fry get fed 3 or 4 times a day, older fry are now down to twice a day same as my adults but I also starve them for half a day and vary the meals I give them all

I feed every other day...they don't seem to mind. =) If I have fry I feed every day.

i dont have a strict feeding schedule. i'll never go more than 3 days apart for feeding but its usually every other day or so. i think it creates a more natural environment especially when i alternate foods around

Normally, once a day. However, if they seem a little hungry after I have fed them for that day, I will give them a 2nd feed.

I feed my first once a day, and sometimes once every few days..But im now changing my way of feeding due to this article i read on how to minimise pollution of feeding.

What i read was its more efficient to feed fish 2-3times a day with small amounts, rather than once a day and use big amounts.
This article said that if you feed little and often, the fish use up the food more efiiciently and dont excrete as much,as opposed to a large feed where the fish digests and uses a small amount of this and excretes more (and therfore polluting the water more..)

So yea anyways i now feed mine 2-3times a day

I would just feed once a day, but the danios always act so hungry in the evening, so they usually get a second feeding. The betta and the bala shark never seem very hungry, and a second feeding will usually go uneaten, so I only feed them once a day.
