hope you like the pictures not brilliant though will have better ones shortly :kana:

They've been around for a while but weren't commonly seen until recently, but now they fairly easy to find and most shops will stock them. Heres some information for you, previously known as Botia angelicus and often sold under that name but now classified as Botia kubotai.

:D thanks for your reply the information is interesting as i havnt seen these before we have one which is a little quiet and the other isnt shy at all he will chase after the clown loaches for food we have been feeding them frozen bloodworm once a day as all my fish love these especially the loaches but not sure how long the quiet one will last as he never seems to come out and eat ,we had a problem with snails before we got the clown loaches and polka dot but there is none to be seen and are even thinking about buying some for them as they are always searching for them thanks anyhow

I have a couple of these and they are indeed lovely  really active and friendly creatures and a pleasure to watch. Not cheap though at around £10 I think....

i paid 12.00 for 2 which was similiar to my clown loach they are lovely fish to watch though

i have one and am going to get a few more when i transfer him, my lfs has them in all the time 7.95 each! mine just eats everything that i put in the tank, and he looks like he tries to hitch a ride to the top of the tank on the back of my gourami and tries to use him as a ledge to stay at the top of the water to get food....cheeky thing

edit the price was wrong...

who knows! but like one time i went to a fish shop and they had zebra otos in there for 22 pounds, and then i went to another one and bought mine for 2.75!!! so you know varys quite a bit!

Why so expensive? They're like £3 to £4 at my LFS.
Wow that's cheap as ! Don't know why the price varies that much. I got mine at Chichester Maidenhead Aquatics about 18 months ago. And just saw some in a lfs here in London the other day and they were about £10 if I can remember correctly. Perhpas the size maybe ? Mine are fairly large.....

we have 3 to 4" speciamines at work for £4.95 :p
