What is the correct pluralisation?


Fish or Fishes?


I've always accepted it as being Fish but I see so many Fishes (Fishies sic) that I am starting to wonder...

Fish refers to multiple individuals, fishes refers to multiple species. The contents of your tank are fish. Tetras, cichlids, and danios are fishes.
