I feed my pleco zucchini.....it took awhile of trying before he caught on. I just slice it and stick a plant anchor through it and drop it in the tank. Anything leftover in the morning I remove. Usually it's just the round circle of peel. My cichlids (in another tank) go nuts over it too. I feed peas too, I don't cook them. I use thawed frozen peas and squish them in my fingers and drop them in. They go NUTS!! My Clown Loaches love banana slices!

its not got alot in it but its got enough to feed them happly iv got 5 in a 120l tank so algae growth is about the same as they eat i guess?

What plecs are they out of interest? 5 is quite a lot for 120l...

Quality Sinking Algae Wafers contain roughly:

Protein 34%, Fat 6%, Fibre 5%, Ash 10%

tank algae does not

I feed both my plecos with cucumber, carrot, lettuce, tetro pro crisp (it sinks fast), algea wafers. Although the pleco in my 55g comes to the surface to be fed hikari cichlid gold pellet,
i drop the pellet ball into his mouth and he takes it down to the bottom lol.

By the way if anyone was interested, those fry were male guppies with red tails.
