Plecs Need Bogwood?

I've heard that plecs need bogwood, but what exactly is bogwood? I've seen a few variaties of wood in the store: monapi, savanna, and cork. Are any of these suitable for plecs? And is there anything special I should note before getting any for my aquarium?

Also, this may not fit into this section, but do otos need bogwood too?
