IM THINKING GETTING SOME LIVE PLANTS FOR TANK,I CURRENTLY HAVE A PLEC IN MY TANK,WILL THE PLANTS SURVIVE IN A TANK WITH A PLEC CAUSE THERE SUPPOSED TO EAT LIVE PLANTS

What species of Pleco do you have? There are hundreds of species :crazy:
 
Ive looked at some photos on the net,and im sure mines is a pleco,and its around an inch and a half long,hope this helps!

What Carlovel1 meant was there are hundereds of speicies of pleco, not catfish in general.

I'm wanting to put live plants into one of my tanks however there's a marble plec in there, would it eat the plants? :unsure:

IFAIK that species does not eat plants. I had one with plants years ago for a couple of years and it didn't eat a single plant. Note that it is a large species and needs a large tank
