so i've never kept a pleco in the couple of years that i've been keeping fish. come to think of it, i've never kept a true bottom dweller or catfish. but i am considering getting a pair of bristlenoses for my 20g when it's rescaped.

however i am a little worried about what i've read. the tank will be planted with mostly tetras although i haven't fully decided on the stocking.

i'm just worried that plecos aren't suited to a planted tank. will they eat/destroy/uproot the plants?

thanks to anyone who replies :) it would be good to get some feedback from people with first-hand experience.

Not sure if bristlenoses are suitable for a 20 gl, but if not, why not get 2 to 3 otos? or a rubbernose pleco?

hmm i prefer cories so i'll probably get a few of those. just wondered about the bristlenoses and plants.

i'd get just 1 bn 2 be honest (unless u plan on breeding) in a 20g they only grow reasonbly small so u mite not have 2 much problem with them uprouting plants i have a gibby and he's about 4" so roughly the size of a full grown bn and he dont really bother with my plants

hope this helps
