pleco question please

I thought that too... and if i cant find the artical about the actual species definition I'm going to have to stop saying it

I've been looking since i posted that and have had no luck

I've heard they're not loaches before as well but I can't remember seeing anything definitive on it, just reports they are cyprinids in far larger numbers. It's one of the most contradictary fish I've seen. Called a Butterfly Pleco or Loach where it's not a pleco, may not be a loach, supposedly tropical but really coldwater, only it's more subtropical and so on.

They from the Balitoridae family (River loaches), according to Fishbase.org

Planning on getting some at some point, to go with some WCMMs in a cold(er) water tank.
