Guys I don't know much about plecos so could do with some suggestions. I'm in the process of setting up a 5x2x2 mixed community tank and so far the only fish in the tank (that had malawi cichlids in it until earlier today) are 2 x Clown Loach and 3 x Synodontis Multipunctatus (that used to live with my cichlids). The tank will have plenty of bogwood in it and the substrate is sand. The pH is approx 7.4 and I currently have the tank at 25°C.

I guess I'm looking for a pleco that will take a variety of foods and will be suited to community life and that preferably is a good looker! Not sure what the other stocking will be yet, though I would be happy to adjust that, to some extent, to fit in the with the Plecos requirements. If the Synos are likely to prove problematic then I am prepared to return them to my LFS as I know they might not quite fit in with a community setup.

Any Pleco suggestions much appreciated.

dont mind me just a newbie but bristlenose plekos grow up to 15cm and i had breeding trio :hyper:
i bought them for £5 each at my lfs

Just bought a Golden Nugget Plec, along with 6 marble Angelfish and a pair of Dwarf Gouramis. So far the pleco hasn't really moved from the position it first took up on the glass by the filter intake in one corner of the tank, but I guess that's to be expected. It's certainly a looker though!
