pleco killer

i used to hav a pleco that killed every other pleco that entered the tank within a day and normally rather brutally.

are there any plecs like this or was mine just a one of, he did bother anything else in the 50g

I think plecos can be quite terratorial especially male vs male. I've got 2 Bristlenose plecos in one tank and so far havent had any problems with them.

From what I've heard plecos get along well with every other type of fish.... Except other plecos. Very territorial against other plecos. What I did was a Pleco and a Catfish, and I gotta tell ya my cat is the nuttiest fish I've seen... He does loop de loops and I can even pet him....

I've got 2 Clown Ples in the same tank, along with a Bristlenose & Corys, and so far all is well, none of them fight with each other, although the Clowns have picked out spots to reside when not eating. Having said all that, the fish are young ones.

Ive never heard of them fighting to the death. i have two plecs in my 10 gall and they dont even fight, they may quarral but nothing sever.

What pleco is that? All my plecos are living peacefully together without any aggression. The main thing is to give them lots of hiding space so that one would not interfere with the other.
