Pleco For Sale

ive got 2 gibby's which this looks like 6" paid £1.50 @ 1" and 12" £5 @ 9" and a black and white common at 13" i just rescued this one for free there is no way im affraid you will get that amount for it as people dont want them that much because of the amount of waste they produce and the size they get, they get around 18" to 2ftish ive seen quite a few that big. if you were near me i would take it in for you as i take in fish and turtles people no longer or can't or just dont want anymore

how big is it btw ?

I paid £10 for a 6" recently and I only paid that much because it was in Pets@Home and I felt needed rescuing!

Realistically £26 is the sort of price paid for less common plecs.

yup have to agree you will find it hard to give that plec away :(
the bigger it gets the less chance you have of finding it a new home thats why you should always read up on a fish before buying
regards scot :)

yeah I agree with everybody, no way will you get £26. I had an 11" common and tried to sell it for £10 but ended up giving it away for free to someone in my LFS. Also had a foot long Clown Knife Fish which I gave to my LFS aswell.

this is NOT a common plec its a sailfin pleco and it worth more than 26 pound

does it matter what kind it is its still hard to rehome a large plec especially one that is commonly available even if its not a common

Sailfins are every bit as common and hard to rehome as 'common' plecs and grow larger, they sell for about £2-4 in any LFS maybe up to £10 for a large one. No way on this planet are they £26. (and I love them - have one myself that I bought a 6ft tank to house, still only worth peanuts as a fish though)

Ok, sounds like either 1) The one at the LFS is not a sailfin but a different type of plec or 2) The guy selling it is trying it on with un-knowledgeable customers.

i ve read to that once they get to 2ft long there worth over 100 pound

I also read you can add water and add fish the same day, but thats not right. :good:

And I also read you spell your name "beginner" not begainner.

Just go sell it at your local LFS as you said he would buy it. :good:

That is rubbish.

You will read a lot of rubbish and hear a lot of rubbish in this hobby.

That said if your LFS is willing to actually buy your plec or even swap your plec for anywhere near £26 then bite their hand off as it is highly unlikely anywhere else would.
