Pleco Eating My Shrimp

so yea i bought a 2cm lil amano shrimp yesterday and overnight i cant find him and hes nowhere to be found. is it common for a gold nugget pleco to eat amano shrimp?!?!?

Depends how big your gold nugget was. But it doesn't surprise me that they got eaten

It could be hiding. When they're so tiny they're hard to spot. I once bought two amano shrimp and thought one had died in the first week as it just disappeared. Then one day weeks later I was doing a water change and suddenly there were two shrimps swimming about. They tend to do a disappearing act when they're moulting. Hope yours turns up.

we added 13 to our 4ft tank... didnt see them for months. (litterly from December through to March.

The good news is that we still have 10 or 11 of them - In with a 12" common, a couple of 5" plecs (L114 and L014) and 4 5" clowns.

They will, more than likely,be fine.
