Good to know!Yep! As a few others have said, this is completely normal. My sailfin sits on top of the wafers so nobody else can get to them ? Greedy beast.
I'm so excited to see more pleco pictures from all of you!! I've been sharing them with my dad so we can gawk at them together lolGood to know!
Of course, after I made this post, Ziggy the Starlight/L183 was quite active last night! While the tank light was blue, he came out from behind his driftwood and was nomming his way across an Almond leaf, and wriggling around on the glass. Most active I've seen him since bringing him home. He seemed to have a pretty chubby belly when he was against the glass, almost like a round oto belly, so I'm taking that as a good sign that he's eating enough!
Tried to get a photo but between dimmed tank lights and tannins in the water, was impossible. I can see pleco photography is going to test my limited skills!
Oh wow!! It looks like a little ghost! My two plecs. An adult BN pleco and a baby unknown gender Longfinned Green Dragon BN.
Aww that little guy is so cool, he's so tiny! The big one is awesome too, I like the little cactus spikes on their nose!My two plecs. An adult BN pleco and a baby unknown gender Longfinned Green Dragon BN.
Yeah, bristlenose plecos are one of my favorite types, next to snowball and blue and green phantoms.Aww that little guy is so cool, he's so tiny! The big one is awesome too, I like the little cactus spikes on their nose!
Can we start a little thread on appreciation for plecostomus? I've got such a soft spot for their little suckermouths and they don't deserve all the hate they get just because of a little bit of extra poo
Reply with pictures of your plec(s) and tell us what you love about them. No hate please!! This is a pleco-friendly zone.
I'll start, here's my sailfin Pocoyo, and my common pleco Baby!
Here is "Jagger" my king tiger pleco L066. I literally got him today and I'm so excited....ive been wanting one FOREVER. It was a pain to boil as it wouldn't fit in any of my pots....I couldnt even get it all in my sink at the same time so had to keep turning it. Soaked it for a few weeks in a bucket. My zebra snails love it, so do my Cory's. It was worth every penny.Gorgeous plec, and Happy Birthday!
I'm eyeing the bogwood though, that's a nice chunk of bogwood!
Oh thats a great idea having them on a pole like that so you don't need to try and scoop up any leftovers thanks for tipMy (new-ish) little guy, enjoying his first veggies since being put into the tank...of course, he bolts as soon as he sees the camera

Can't even have my other chunk of bogwood in my tank because it just bled into the water so badly it looked like a blackwater tank.
