Plec Fits?

hi last night my plec had what i can only describe as some sort of fit has any other members plec done this? and i was wondering if anyone knows what happened i immieadiatly put all lights out in the room including the tank to try and settle him down abit as he looked stressed so much that i thought he was a goner this mornin he seems a little bit better but still very cautious in a kind of way if you know what i mean .......................btw my water stats are fine

Fit? What exactly was he doing? When you say a fit u kind of imagine it to be like a human fit.

at first he was sort of swimming extremely fast about the tank then started to twitch and gradually slowed down and sat in one place looking poorly

Was there anything that triggered the fit ?

Some of my fish go bananas sometimes when the flourescent light goes out.

the only thing that i can possibly think of is that one of my mollies was still pretty active and possibly went near the plec? .................the lights had been out for an hour or so...........do u think this may have been the cause?............and if so is there a prevention to this problem as the missus likes the plec and has become quite attached to him lol,,,,,,,,,,ps i will be getiing a larger tank within a fortnight if i can find the right one and price

Have you checked out his outer body very carefully. He might have some sort of external parasite irritating him ?

when you said this i had a look at him and theres no visible signs of any parasite
