okay so I’ve been in the hobby about a year and I’ve never seen this !!! Can anyone tell me what might be happening!!! Ugh okay so my angel fish got wounded somehow he got stuck behind my sponge filter well I got him out seen he was wounded so I put him in a hospital tank and put some salt in with him and some fin and body cure . It’s been about 3 days and I was up close watching him and looking at his wounds. (They are getting better) but whenever he would move I noticed like a weird gas or liquid like substance coming from him !??? Kinda like when you look in the distance on a hot day and you can see the heat. Well that’s what whatever this was that was coming from my fish looked like!! Please please can someone tell me what this is !!!

Any chance of a picture and short video of the fish?
If the pictures are too big for the website, set the camera's resolution to its lowest setting and take some more. The lower resolution will make the images smaller and they should fit on this website. Check the pictures on your pc and find a couple that are clear and show the problem, and post them here. Make sure you turn the camera's resolution back up after you have taken the pics otherwise all your pictures will be small.

If the video is too big for this website, post it on YouTube and copy & paste the link here. We can view it at YouTube. If you are using a mobile phone to take the video, have the phone horizontal so the video takes up the entire screen. If you have the phone vertical, you get video in the middle and black on either side.

My gourami had some cuts and scratches. Over time they will heal, it might leave some marks. Make sure the fish stays safe. The stuff leaking out might be some ammonia from its gills, when a fish grows quickly ammonia can leak out or it might be healing and the healing is causing some ammonia to come out from the fast regrowth of the wounded areas. There are many more possibilities.
