Hi Everyone,

I dont have a clue what to do, Please have a look at the pic below....

I dont know if you can see it or not, this is the only decent pic i could get.
But he has a white film over his eye, for the past week or so i have been using melafix and it seemed t have been working, but now one is appearing on his other eye as well.

I tested my water parameters and everything was perfect except the ph was at 6.0.
I had done a water change 3 days ago and it was back to 7.2 which it normally always is, but lately the ph has been dropping over 2-3 days, and i fear this is contributing to the issue, and worry it is going to pass onto my other fish :(

Any help would be appreciated,
If i can get a better photo i will,  but he is very camera shy, and the one on his other side is much bolder, but its like he refuses to let me see....

do you have a quarantine tank? The best first move would be to move this guy to a hospital tank to prevent it from spreading and reduce unnecessary exposure to medicine for the other fish

i would, but the hopital tank is opccupied by one of my mums fish with white spot.

I looked up the the melafix, and it said that it should have no effect on the other fish as it is also supposed to improve gill performance etc

Have you added anything new to the tank? or done anything different to cause the pH to keep dropping? The main problem with satanoperca leucosstica is they do not take to meds to well (I have treated Jurupari and daemon). If you do not have a hospital tank available you would be better doing daily water changes on the main tank. You may need to anyway to sort out the ph dropping problem.

I know these are difficult to photograph and I cannot tell from the picture, is there any white dots in the iris of the eye itself, like white smudges?
