OK, thanks for that. I guess I'll add like 7 drops, then test. Then add more if needed. Thanks for the help everyone.

Wait, before I do this, can you guys tell me if this is good. It's called Krasdale Clear Ammonia. The ingredients are Ammonium Hydroxide solution, and Quality Control Agents. Then it says Contains no Phosphorus.

Is this ok to use.

I'm not sure what "Quality Control Agents" are but if you shake it and it foams, it has detergent (or surfactants) and won't work (a few air bubbles that go away immediately is ok).

OK, I shook it and it's fine. Pretty much no air bubbles. Thanks, I'm starting my fishless cycle now.

I have a question. Does some algea on the walls mean the cycle is starting, and the bacteria is there?

Actually, algae need nutrients which can come from nitrate (the end result of the nitrifying cycle. It can also come from too much direct sunlight. Have you tested your water yet to see what the levels are? You could have nitrate from the tap water that is triggering the algae.

Well, my ammonia is still at 5, and I didn't test anything else yet. It hasn't been one week yet, but it will be on friday. Should I see less ammonia by the end of this upcoming weekend?
