Hi,

I bought supposedly 4 C. julii and 6 C. puntatus, but I am not sure whether they are ID'ed well. Here are some pictures (excuses for the drop stains on the glass:

This is supposed to be the julii (fine specimen by the way, it is already 4 cms!):

ANd this is the puntatus, I have most doubts about this one:

Sorry for the blurry picture, but this fish is so #40## lively, it won't sit still!

Thanks for helping me out.

The top one is definitely C. trilineatus. I have 5 of my own. Julii actually have spots instead of the maze-like design.

I think you are right. I read your post and then realised that mine are also trilineatus. For me, this is great; I have always wanted to have them, but thought they were not available in Mexico. I have 4, maybe I can get them to breed....

That's great, I love my trilineatus but haven't got them to breed yet. Post pictures if they spawn!

I got on planetcatfish (if you need fish IDs, it's a good place to go and it's free), I found a few links

The fish they said you have = Punctatus

Agassizii

It could be this one too, but it looks more like the agassizii...Pastazensis
