Please help me help my betta!

Today I took him out of his "hospital bowl" and tried to feed him a boiled (skinless) pea. He took one tiny nibble so far, but I'm hoping he'll eat more soon. What's the next step?

I will try to get another picture of him later. This is when he was healthy a while ago... if it helps.

I'm had that tank since the beginning of November. Thanks for the tips. *sigh* I guess I do need a bigger tank.
Hi Jesse, beautiful colour betta and in health regarding this picture he looks fine.
I have my two in separate tanks of 5 gallons and a digital heather set at 27c / 79.5f and top filter in both they drips into the tank, smooth gravel, caves for them both but with silk plants. Everything needs to be smooth to protect their bodies.

I vacuum and water change their tanks 3 times a week and add 5ml of tetra aquasafe to each one.

Try the pea again tonight. Then get his larger bowl set up and cycled. You can use his filter from his present bowl to help cycle it. Get him going and into the larger tank. :)

Jesse it's about building up good bacteria in your tank and it forms by waste from your fish and food you give them :)

Thank you both!

( Was "Jesse" an autocorrect? )

Just to add to Deanasue's link - the first part explains what cycling is; the second part is how to do it before fish are in the tank. As you have a fish already, ignore the second part.

The two most highly recommended bacteria porducts are Dr Tim's One & Only and Tetra Safe Start. No bacteria product cyles a tank instantly, but the better ones do speed up the process.
