Hey,

I have a 5ft 450L tank with 7 clown loaches, 13 danios n 3 three spot gourami. The tank is quite well vegetated n has over hanging trees n some caves for the gourami n loaches.

I was wondering what would be a good bottom feeder / scavenger?

Corys are great, they sometimes scurry round the whole tank but spend 90% of their time at the bottom and are great to watch!

How about bronze corys? Lovely fish :)

Many people choose to go for julii corys though...

i personally wouldnt get any thing thats strictly a bottom feederbecause i really wouldnt like to be the bottom feeder that has to compete with 7 clown loaches. especially if i was the size of a cory. there to small it wouldnt be fair.

we not invest invest in a healthy group of cyprinids that look nice but are greedy so they will be cleaning up from the floor as well as doing there usual.

i would sugest a cichlkid but if you get a pair that breed you will have isuues with the clowns

Get another 5 clown loaches ;) They are great for keeping the substrate clean of left over food.

I would love to get more clown loaches but they seem to only hang out at the back. They look incredibly happy chasing each other from one end to the other as they 'dance' up and down the glass but they don't come to the front too often.

So was looking for something that isn't shy and will eat anything that is left near the front. Either that or find a way to entice the clown loaches from back.

Hi what about yoyo loaches ,I have 2 and they are right pigs and very funny to whatch :look They also spend a lot more time out in the tank . I have 4 clowns and they mix very well together
