Hello there!
Yesterday I purchased some fish for the first time.
5 Mollies, and 5 Swordtails. (8 female, 2 male.)
However I noticed that my white Molly is quite large.

After some research, I've begun to think she might be pregnant.
But I dont know, I'm new to all this.

Here's a photograph:

I'm sorry for the blur, I needed to snap it quick.
She's been very docile today, hiding behind plants and occasionally on the gravel.
I can't see any signs of illness though.

She does look pregnant, but not like she's going to drop fry right away. Do you have plants in your tank? What size is your tank? Did you cycle the filter before adding fish?

I have several plants in my tank. I'm new to this, but the ones that came with labels are: Cabomba, Limnophilia, Echinodorus and Rotala. Any others didn't have labels. There are plenty of hiding places and such though.
My tank is a 90 Litre.
And yes, I let the filter cycle :)

Wonderful! Then, unless you are going into the business of raising and selling mollies, you should be good to go. Then when the fry arrive they should have plenty of places to hide. Some will unfortunately get eaten, but with your male to female ratio you'll soon have more fry than you can imagine.

Thank you! :) We're considering a breeding tank for later on, but currently don't have the funds for it. We do have places that will take fry from us if we get overwhelmed (Every place I've spoken to burst out laughing when I told them how many females I had compared to males.) So it should be quite a learning curve.

I think your fishkeeping life in the near future will be fairly exciting.

Brilliant!
Once you see the fry swimming in your tank...you're hooked on the hobby for life.

Just noticed today, she's spending a lot of time resting on the gravel? Is that a bad sign?

I would do a large water change just in case. See if she perks up at all afterward.
