Please help! I cant find this glass canopy anywhere

I wasn't sure where to post this... but anyway I need help. I have a 3 year old Marineland 46 gallon bow front aquarium with a glass canopy.... WELL the plastic hinge just snapped in half while I went to open it to feed my fish. I know I saw the canopy years ago for sale at PetSmart for like $20.... now I can't find a glass canopy anywhere! Does anyone know where I can purchase one?

You could probably make your own hinge too. Something pliable, maybe even silicone, spread on the top with a small gap between the two pieces might work. I'd say it's worth a shot rather than buying a whole new lid.

In the meantime, make your own hinge....
1) remove all of the old hinge.
2) place both pieces of glass on a clean flat surface (just as it would sit on the aquarium.
3) clean where the two pieces come together with alcohol,
4) Using Black vinyl electrical tape, run the first strip centered over where the two pieces of glass come together.
5) Run a few more strips of overlapping tape to strengthen the joint.

Thank y'all so much for your help! I didn't know I could purchase just the hinge for it... a lot cheaper than buying the whole lid.
