Please Help! Extremely Cloudy Water! Tried Everything!

Looks like popeye...

Only in one eye, it could just be an injury.

Number one: what other fish are in the tank?  If nothing but mollies, you can add salt to decrease the swelling...

The second most important thing is CLEAN WATER.  Lots of water changes...  If you have a QT available, that will limit the amount of water that needs to be changed and the amount of salt to use.

It's only in one eye, and she has 13 2-month-old fry in the 10g with her and a breeder tank with 3 3-week-old fry.

What is QT? I have currently Prime, Stress Coat, and my water testing has no nitrates, ammonia, but my pH seems to be a little low.

I just got dont with the cycle from the bacterial bloom, and was told to change like 20% weekly. Should I change it more since she has the Pop-Eye?

Side note: I got stressed out so I made her a get well picture. HAHAHAHA I love my fish way too much.

Ah god that is too cute!

I think you'll be fine, sounds like your water changes are doing the job. QT stands for Quarantine Tank - a small extra tank you use for quarantining and medicating sick fish. The idea is that you use it short term to add medications or salt for an individual fish until it recovers. It's also handy for many other things too, such as quarantining new fish before they go into your tank, holding a fish temporarily for whatever reason etc etc.

It seems that the whole tank might benefit from adding salts. I worry about quarantining her, I have a spare 2.5g but don't want to stress her out more. I am also going out of town for 2 days leaving my husband here to try and do all this! So should I go get aquarium salts to add? Anything else that might be beneficial?

I went out and bought Melafix, and have already added this directly to the tank.

I also bought aquarium salts, because I believe this will help her feel a little better, reduce swelling, and keep her fry healthy..

My question is - can I add the aquarium salt directly to the tank? Or do I need to do a water change and add the salts?

I ask because I am being told not to do daily water changes because I just got rid of a bacterial bloom and re-cycled my tank. I am almost due for a weekly change but I really need to know what to do here with the aquarium salts. Please help!

All water peramiters are normal, except the water is a little too soft and the pH is on the lower side. Below 7.

Please help clarify what I should do?

Only fish in tank are Mollies.

Dissolve the salt in tank water first, then slowly increase the salinity over the course of several hours...

Increase surface agitation as the oxygen carrying capacity of the water is diminished.

So directly into the tank?

Or take some water out, dissolve it in there and put it back in?

Sorry, I guess that wasn't clear... Remove some water and dissolve the salt completely in that water. Then slowly add water back to the tank.
