God im thick
Many Thanks Eigdoog :good:

well if it hasn't come out then there is either something wrong with the water chemistry or something is stinging/attacking it most likely.

The third and forth pic appear to be a species of snail

The fifth... cant think of the name of it.... damn

The sixth pic is a colony of mushrooms

Seventh is some sort of sea fan worm, not sure if its a large feather duster or not. Seems you have quite a few of the little ones (as seens from the first two pics where they are all over)

Ox :good:

5th pic - rhodactis mushroom

6th pic - actinodiscus mushroom

7th pic - coco worm

Thanks guys, i was sure it was not a snail though??

Also how do i get rid or snails...i got loads!!!

Many Thanks Eigdoog :good:

that starfish looks like a red sea star i think they call them i had one he died on me :(

That is I believe a half shelled sea slug (3rd and 4th pictures) ; not an official title and I can't find it anywhere but that is what the LFS owner says they are called. I have to admit that name sums up exactly what they are: half shelled sea slugs. I have loads too and what I can tell you is that in my experience they are harmless and if anything will do a brilliant job at keeping all sorts of algae at bay. I would leave them alone for the population will not continue to rise unless the food is there to support it. If you really want them out then you have to physically pick them out individually when you spot them. I have a beautiful black one that roams the tank and he loves to eat sea weed.

Regards

The first one looks like xenia which usually dont shut up unless they are touched or something is bothering them. I would take a fine toothbrush and gently brush it to make sure nothing is on it. Sometimes my spanish hog drops small bits of stone on mine and it closes up until i remove it. The 5th one i have in my tank that just grew out of live rock and has spread quickly. The star is a red sea star and i have 2 that are great at eating all the leftovers. They seem to stay small as i have had mine for ages and they havent really grown.

3rd and 4th pic is a chiton. It's not going to harm anything so you can leave it be.

The starfish is a red bali starfish I believe.

It's definately not xenia, it's more then likely GSP. Which has been known to stay closed for weeks on end at some times.

Dont worry about the Green Star Polyp not opening up, its common. I bought a piece last week. It opened up after 5 mins of being in the tank, then closed up for 3 days the day after. I bought another larger piece on monday and it all hasnt opened up yet, probably 60% of it is fully opened...give it time, as long as you've had signs of it opening, it'll be fine :D

By the way, all the polyps came out yesterday...so happy :) Just letting you know how long it took for all of mine to come out fully and confidently (got it on monday, yesterday was friday)

OMG!!!!

not its going black on a few of them and my new one will not come out of this one... it should look the the last pic

is there something that this coral hates? if so i need to get rid of it, will do tests very soon.

Thanks again

EDIT: also my coco worm is not coming out and i was wondering if its the new shrimp i got??

Doesnt like too low flow or being moved about regularly or inhabitants crawling all over it..such as Shrimp :p

i dont know what to do about it lol i dont want them both to die as like i said its going black on one of them. i have moved one of my power heads so that it points over to one of them and waiting to see if it comes out.
