please help a dirty turtle

in the turtle tank we seem to be having hygene problems......there is algae and leftover cricket legs all over the place. im sure the heat lamp is only esclating the problem at this point. here is the issue, this turtle is a verry good hunter. there have been two ottos in the tank for about 3 days now, but i am still expecting him to eat them. what kind of cleaner fish could i get that can hold his own against a turtle? my husband likes the brisselnose, but we dont know anything about it. the tank is 25 gallons and the turtle is aprox. 6 inches.

A bristle nose might work. but if the turtle is overly agressive, this might be one of those situations where a Chinese algea eater would be welcome.

My Red eared sliders ate 3 CAEs, so I would not suggest this unless they have ample SMALL spaces to hide. That being said, I went to a slate bottom and lots and lots of filtration to keep em clean.
