easy, go to the top rightish of the screen click on MY CONTROLS, then select edit avatar settings (on the left), then you can either upload one from your PC by clicking the browse button or select one of the many that are listed.

Baring in mind size, and file type also

That is called an avatar. Click My controls and look down the left side column for the link. The directions are fairly simple.
