PLEASE ANSWER, NOT MUCH TIME!!!!!

are you je 760??? cuz I don't remember you saying anything. HMMMM...

congrats on his rehab! I hope his tail grows all the way in soon :D

btw: I think one of the females aborted... (The only one that he could have possibly mated with)

She had spots in her tanish gravid, but now her gravid is very unnoticable. Hmmm... Hopefully it's bad lighting due to water color (DEEP green, fungus meds)

Oh, i'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully the disease did not spread to your other valuable fish. I believe the disease is contagious, so better keep a close eyes to your other fish before it's too late.

I mean, you've done so much for the guppy, the rest will take its course. At least you've tried, that's what counts.

The other person above is not me ... maybe he pm'ed you??

did you add the salt to the water at 7 teaspoons per gallon?
if you did then the fish will die. you should only add salt very slowly at a dose of 1 teaspoon per gallon every 12 hours and the maximum for the tank would have been 3 teaspoons per gallon. you have a neon in there that wont like very much salt in the first place.

Adding that much salt is actually useful for salt baths and they can help with really bad illnesses. It's not the regular dosage of course.

its not clear though if he used it in the main tank, or did i not read that bit -_-

found it, salt bath :)

Ity was a salt bath, not in the main tank :D

I have 1teaspoon per 5 gallons in the main tank though, which is what i was recomended.

I heard that no matter what you do, columnaris will be in your water, so in a since it is contagious, but not b/c the fish had it. I think the flukes gave him an open wound and he caught columnaris from that.

I can't seem to get the meds out... How can I.

I've placed the carbon back, but it hasn't removed it yet. The color isn't as deep but it is still pretty noticable... (ALSO getting ready for a 25% water change)

The guppy didn't abort, the eggs just moved I guess, b/c I see them again :)

do a water change and change the carbon in maybe 2 weeks. That should pull out the rest of the meds.

well, the carbon is prolly 2 weeks old now. Still wait another 2 weeks or do it now? O I have some activated carbon in a box... Could I drop some of that in the filter box (HOB filter)

no get a bag of carbon at the lfs. try to get one that is refillable. It'll have a little clip on the top. The bag goes right in the filter. But you probably already have one of these don't you. Just refill the carbon bag and rins it in tank water from a water change and your meds should start clearing up.

I have a marineland filter that is preassembled and it isn't possible to take the filter fiber off without ripping. I kow what you're talking about though. (those are for whispers)

maybe you could cut the top of the filter that you have and dump out the carbon. Rinse the bag out really good and put it back in empty. Then when you need to use carbon such as after meds you could buy one of the refillable bags and put it behind the other filters. Not sure if this would work but it may save you some money in the long run.
