playpit sand ??

I have it in all but one of my tanks, I didn't even need to wash mine that much and it settlesquickly because it's heavier than aquarium sand, I think.

Oh, and I got mine from Argos for £2.50 each and had them deliver it to save my back.

How much did delivery cost?

£3.50 I think. Which was ok for me as the bast would have been £2 and I got 7 bags.

[cometcattle - I put some sand in the bath, put the plug in and ran the cold tap o it at full power for a second or 2. I wooshed it around with my hands a little, let the water out (the sand does not go down the drain because it's heavier than water) and scooped it out. Did it again until I had what I needed for my tank.

Sounds like it would work good but I wouldn't fancy cleaning up the mess in the tub.

My dog would probably jump in the tub and start digging like he does at the beach.

got up this morning and the tanks crystal clear,apart from the glass needs cleaning ,last time i got something deliverd from argos it was £5 i think it depends how far you live from the store,most builders merchants will order it in for you though,got mine from local builders 8 bags (not all for the tank) cost £3 delivery,kids went mad when i borrowed a bag
