From reading here for a long time, I think Argos Play Sand is your best bet, which I think you can get at any home improvement place.

I use argos play sand and its great, just make sure you wash it in a bucket to remove all the sediment (it will float).

definitely get argos play sand, It's great! Make sure you clean it well before hand though.
