Play Sand Acceptable?

thanks .. that really answered my q ... i will get one ... play sand ,do i have to b careful of additive as im in canada

I bought just run of the mill play sand and I am in Canada and am having no issues with it. It did require a fair amount of washing and rinsing. But it was sooo worth it, both of my tanks have it and it is so much easier to clean than gravel. Plus I have alot of bottom feeders and it is safer than the gravel I think on their bodies, and provides them with a natural environment. Here are pics of my 2 tanks with the sand. Good luck!
