Platy's with Rams?

Hi i wanted to get about 3 platys to finish off my tank coz they're quite bright and fairly hardy.

My question is, i know they're very peaceful so do you think they would be molested by my Rams?

Ps.one of my rams is very agressive and i'm getting rid of her this weekend so they'll only be one.

I think they should be okay. I've had Platies and Rams before, and it's usually only a problem if the Platies go down by the Ram's cave, or such. They seem to get along pretty well, though. What's your tank's footprint, though?

Not sure what you mean by footprint, it's 24'' long, 12'' wide, 15'' deep, this any help?

24 x 12 would be the footprint...like if you set the tank on the floor, the part that's making the rectangle is the foot print...in other words, the length and width.

So your tank is only about 16 US gallons...you might be fully stocked. I don't know if there is room for Platies. If you think there is, you could try it...and just see how they work with the Rams. I'd have an alternate place for them to go, though.

if i work on the inch of fish per gallon then i've got 15'' (soon to be 13.5 when other ram goes)

neon = 1'' x7 = 7''
guppy = 1'' x 2 = 2''
catfish = 3'' x 1 = 3''
ram = 1.5'' x 2 = 3''

And neons don't create as much waste as some fish so if i got maybe 2 platys?
(both male, i don't want loadsa babies)

I moved one of my female rams out of my main tank into a 10 gallon which had 4 platys in because I had 3 rams and the 2 females fought constantly.
She immediately coloured up when I moved her into the smaller tank and she swims around with the platys, she hasn't shown any aggression to them at all even at feeding time.

I took back my female ram coz she was too agressive and i had nowhere else to put her and i got 1 small saffron molly and 1 silver molly coz none of my lfs's seem to have platy's at the mo.

They seem to be quite happy and my ram is fine so far.

I tried to get females but i'll soon see!
