Platys Gives Birth (video)

Will do, thanks for your input. I haven't done livebearers in many years and I just wanted some reassurance that the protrusion that i was seeing was of no concern. I have a batch of 2 week old Molly fry (as you can see in the pic) and mama Molly's vent area only became swollen about a day before she gave birth. Thanks again!

Still no babies...and her vent looks like the shuttle bay on the SS Enterprise. LOL Still eating, though not as aggressively as usual.

You know that tihng were they fall through whats it called as i want one. I have a breeding net but i raise them in their. Roughly how much is a medium sized one. Got a pregnant swordy i think. Had a batch of fry with guppies but they all died (fry and guppies). Going to buy another sort of livebearer next. whaddaya recommend?

Well 5teady, she's still hanging in there. She eats and acts relatively normally but I'm starting to get concerned. She's really squared off and her vent area is still swollen (it's been that way for nearly 2 weeks) but no signs of impending labor...Arghh! I just want to squeeze her (j/k). I feel like she has to be uncomfortable but she acts as if there is nothing wrong. Here is a pic that I took of her today, should I be concerned? Yeah I know I sound like a crazy person...

i am still amazed at the colour of your :fish: HEHE :yahoo: that is my fav colour of orange.

Thanks, I think she's quite lovely myself. You can find these pretty commonly in the states. How are your babies doing? Getting bigger yet?

[Edit] It just occurred to me that perhaps you were complimenting 5teady's fish as they are orange/red as well...either way, I still think she's lovely. LOL
