I cycled my tank for 2 weeks. In the book that came with the aquarium, it says I should do a water change every 2 days for 2 weeks when adding first fish. Is this true?

 
As others have said, cycling takes a long time, not 2 weeks. Have a read of the green link in my sig area, it will tell you all you need to know to get your tank nice and stable. I'd strongly suggest you don't add any more fish until you are certain that your nitrogen cycle is established fully, and your tank is stable.
