Fish Gatherer
We have just finished treatment for ich. But, my fish just aren't better (ich seems gone though). My blue coral platy is frequently clamping its tail, but has no other signs of anything. My mickey mouse platy has occasional white stringy poops and has developed a white patch on its tail. I will come back with a picture soon, hope it turns out as my regular light has burned out and I only have a moonlight bulb for the moment. My other adult platy is fine as seem to be my fry.
Any ideas? The patch on the tail doesn't seem to be fuzzy so I'm not really sure if it is fungus... but with the whiteness I can't figure out what else it could be seeing as it is a specific spot on the tail.
Other details, they just completed treatment for ich with Interpet White Spot. The water stats remained stable during treatment. I did a full water change late yesterday to clear the medication from the water and the water stats are all perfect still. Temperature is at 26c.
Now, I will go away and try and get a picture of my platies.
That was easier than expected, both fish posed together and are in focus.... flash seems to have cancelled out the effect of the blue light.
Any thoughts on if this is fungus or something else on the mickey mouse's tail, as well as what might be bothering my blue coral?
The button for adding an image is greyed out so will have to just paste the link.
