I have platy fry FINALLY!!!!! But anyways I have them in a 10 gallon tank do I need to turn my filter on or leave it off??

Turn it on, but make sure the filter intake is well covered not to suck any fry in.

You need to have a functional filter in any tank where you keep fish. Even fry produce some ammonia so you need to process that. I use filter sponge to cover the inlet of my fry filters. Just a slit in the end of the sponge and push it up over the tubing like this.

This is what it looks like in place after about a month.

If your current filter is too strong you could use a sponge filter, or as Old man said, use some sponge over The inlet

Congrats on your fry.
I currently have Platy & Guppy fry, hard work, but they're fun to watch.
At 3/4 weeks old their personalities are beginning to show

Thank you old man. I did get one yesterday and it works well. I love to watch them grow they will be a week on Saturday and I can already see them growing. They are fun to watch!!!!
