Plastic Plants

I have just bought some plastic plants for my freshwater aquarium, the thing is though, when I opened them they smell really plasticy, would this be an issue putting them in my tank? I have them soaking in just water at the moment... Do I need to do anything else? Or am I just being over cautious? Because I couldn't imagine the plastic would harm the fish... Could it?

Any advice would be appreciated!!!

If they are plants made specially for aquariums, they will be fine. Don't use soap or any chemicals as this can kill your fish. They will smell a bit 'new' but just give them a rinse to get of the dust.

Yeah they are made for aquariums... I just have them soaking in plain water!

You should be totally fine to pop them in your tank after rinsing them off. No worries!
