My plants have been turning white for the past couple months and I'm not sure why. I have had this tank for 1 year. I just started dosing easy green a couple weeks ago. Before that, I was using Fluval Gro+ which only contains micronutrients. Any suggestions?

Any chance of a picture showing the plants from the front of the tank?

What sort of plants are they?

It could be the plants were grown out of water and have terrestrial leaves. When put underwater, they suck the nutrients out of the leaves and shed those old leaves, while growing new aquatic leaves.

The Java fern on the right looks ok. Make sure the plants you have are truly aquatic. As @Colin-T mentioned, they might have been grown emersed at the nursery (most are) and now going through and adjustment.

Hello mr. Apparently, something the plant needs isn't being provided. This could be the wrong water chemistry, the plant may need a CO2 supplement or some other nutrient. Plants need nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. They also need proper lighting. Low light plants don't need more nutrients than the fish provide and light that comes to 3 watts for every gallon of tank volume. More demanding plants will benefit from CO2 and lighting that's in excess of 4 to 5 watts for every gallon of tank volume. The thing to do, is to research the needs of the plants you keep to determine if you're giving them what they need.
