Most plants used in the hobby are not 100% aquatic. Most live in flood plains. So for part of the year they are completely submerged. At other times they they are well above water level. Rarely are they under water for more than a year but they can tolerate that without any issues. As long as the ground doesn't dry out they will survive. Most will only flower and seed when the flower is above water level.Those are aquatic plants out of the water!? They look beautiful! I wonder how they just adapted to terrestrial life so quickly...
