Planting Glossostigma Elatinoides

I'm just about to plant some Glossostigma Elatinoides, it arrives tomorrow.

I want the usual carpet effect but its my first try. I ordered 25 plants from Java and want to plant them into my Eco-complete substrate. I have 3 watts per gal, co2 @ 20ppm, ferts etc.

Any tips to get my carpet going quickly?

Generally I've always read its best to seperate it out into very small clumps of a few stems, and then plant the clumps about 1 to 2cm appart. They should spread out nicely over time and give you a carpet effect

Thanks Dev - that's about what I would have thought. Can you trim the stuff onece it gets longer?

Seperate it into individual plantlets (two leaves either side of the stem) with sharp scissors and plant with tweezers. It will take you ages but will carpet much quicker.

Although quicker in the short-term, planting bunches will encourage vertical growth initially and a carpet will take much much longer.
