Planted Tank Setup Advice

I am setting up a 55 gallon tank . I want a planted tank but have no clue where to start lol. I am worried about the lighting because it has 2 hoods with both LED lighting and I dont know if they will even be enough light or not. any guides out there to what plants for a complete newb to start with ?
 
For plants for beginners, just look in most aquarium shops mate. In my experience, they only tend to stock beginner plants, otherwise they usually state if it's not. I know i've read threads around her eon beginner plants but not got enough experience here to link mate! Try googling, I find a lot of the time it brings me here :)
 
By the way, don't be demotivated if they go brown, mine used to all the time, but making a few changes here and there makes all the difference - you will learn from where you go wrong :)

The best plants to start of with would be Java fern, Java moss, Cryptocoryne (brown/green) and/or the dwarf Anubias plants as they are relatively undemanding plants.
 
You would need to ensure that these plants have access to macro-nutrients (usually around 20-30 ppm of nitrate and 3-5 ppm of phosphate), a small amount of micro-nutrients (mainly iron) and some liquid co2 (such as bottled Easy Carbo).
 
Usually the lighting level won't cause any issues unless the light emitted is ridiculously dim. Instead light intensity determines the rate at which the plants would need to consume co2 and macro/micro-nutrients during photosynthesis, with high-light tanks needing a lot of gaseous injected co2 (rather than liquid co2) and nutrients, and low-light tanks usually needing just a daily dose of liquid co2 and macro/micro-nutrient dosage here and there.
