You can get different types of vallisneria so depending on what one you want, you need to look for a specific type. E.g. Gigantia, Spiralis, etc.

A bit late on this but I have one.
It's in a tank that gets dosed with liquid carbon and as far as I know it does like higher light and flow too but it's doing fine with medium to low light in my tank.  It's a very slow grower though but beautiful and it may need a large tank one day.
