I've kept it as simple as possible. Please read through the first post before submitting/asking for any plants.

If there's anything I've missed or that could be added (within reason) then let me know here and I'll consider it.

If you ask me we need some sort of reputation system for this so we dont have the same people just taking all the time and not giving something back to the other members. Just a suggestion though.

Well, I think that we should only allow people to post plants they are willing to ship, no asking for plants. That would keep down the number of leechers. (so anyone wanna post that they have some duckweed they dont want? )

I agree. Only members willing to sell/send plants should post. It could get out of hand with people begging and saying what they need. The buyer should contact the seller via PM. Also might want to check out import/export laws for aquatic plants..........I'd hate to see anyone get in trouble.

I think that a sub-forum: Planted Tank for sale/wanted is a better idea, but this is a good start!

I was hoping to see a subforums too, but thinking about it, this should be the best choice. One, because we all hate reading "WANTED" threads all the time. Two, its easier to read through without clicking from page to page to page. And three, its easier for George to manage it xP

Good job, and thanks..I'm sure it will be a great success. One thing that people should mention is when it is available, since not everyone will be able to send plants year round because of weather conditions.

This thread however will be difficult to known when the item is already sold/sent, or what the current status is. Much less it holds less inquiries per page.

The PMing system is self-regulating so this should eliminate the need to complicate matters with reputation points etc. The supplier will soon realise who is "genuine".

The thread is open for suppliers only. Any member "wanting" has to PM the supplier.

A sub-forum is a good idea and will be considered on the potential success/failure of the current system.

Yeah looks good. I think it would be a good idea if posts were deleted after plants have gone. That way there won't be pages and pages of ancient ads.

Read the thread.

When the supplier has run out or wishes to stop supplying plants then edit the post accordingly by amending the “Quantity” to None Available (in bold). If you wish to keep the post open so you can re-amend the quantity once you have more plants then simply re-edit. If you wish the post be deleted then PM me.
