i truly have no idea what plant this is. so anyone?

when i first brought them home they look like the one in the second photo.., a few weeks later the stumps turned black with new shoots. they are collected along the deeper end of the pool...almost waist deep. the better looking ones are deeper . but i resisted any temptations to get them ..i cant risk my life ..with unseen pits all around.

i think i had this plant before..... grows mad i think.. the emersed form is hard right ? while the submerged form is soft and realll leafy ? i forgot the name !! its driving me crazzyyyy

that's normal water sprite.. i have lot of it. The brown algae covered leafes is the emerged leafes. they will not last long underwater. the new plant formed on the leafs will grow into hudge under water masses

yea yea ...water sprite , now i rembember. i havent seen them emerged before. yea u are rite, those stumps just rots away leaving the new shoots to float all over the tank. some which i planted on the gravel began to develop large leaves. i dont really know what they will transform into. truly amazing plant. grows like mad.
anyway ..i dont think they would make the grade and have them planted in my show tanks.
