Livestock: Native to Florida. Ramshorn snail relative with curling, flat-faced shell (like a twirling mesa/plateau), and long antennae. Eats the dreaded BBA algae among others (I have proof), and many other nuisance algaes. Also, doesn't grow as large as regular ramshorns snails, max 1cm shell length at adult-hood. Body is a lovely red colour with golden flecks at maturity, shell is bronze. This is not a pest-snail that will breed out of control.

they do grow bigger. it's just, most of the snails I have right now arent super big.

I have more available. They may be a little smaller than stated in the ad, but i will include extra to compensate.

Always wanted snails in my tank but always had it in my head they get out of controll, do these get bad oonce they start breeding?

These snails are not pest snails. They are related to ramshorn snails and eat lots of algae including the dreaded BBA, but they stay smaller than the ramshorns. They don't breed out of control, but since they are small you do notice more of them than when you keep regular ramshorns in my opinion.

If you are interested in snails I also sell pink ramshorns, blue ramshorns, and Black Malaysian Trumpet snails (MTS). All these snails are a valuable addition to aquariums, but I would keep one variety of ramshorn (since the blues and pinks will interbreed-but not the mesas) and one variety of MTS in the same tank for algae control and substrate aeration. Cheers.
