Plan B Spawning Pair.

thats a male netty :look: ventrals are too long, gut feeling is telling me male as well, sorry....but if it does turn out to be female, you should get a nice amount of red polka on a yellow base if she/he is from the spawn i think she/he is from.

   Daz.....don't do this to me lol I think the only way we'll know for sure is putting her in the chimney and see what happens.

She just doesn't look your typical PK shape at all!!!!

netty i dont think that will work out, are there homosexual bettas?

she looks he-ish

and you call yourself a betta breeder!!

Well we've had females with longer fins and ventrils in the past so we'll see this week once we get them in the spawning tank and we can see properly how they react to each other. :p

to be honest i wouldnt add her to the hmpk, after knowing who the parents are now, it wouldnt make sense to cross them as it will drag the gene back and you will end up with bad fin lines which will take some hard work getting back.

Poor Netty! It seems you might just have to send them out to me or something since you can't use them!! :p

Ok Netty.......breathe in.........breathe out!!!!!!!

Looks like we're going to plan C then

What Daz means is because there is a mix of genetics, it would be harder and take longer to get pure HMPK back. Both the girls came from a FT male.
