Sorry I couldn't resist again, they were just all there together and looked like such a happy family.

We bought 8 in a sad state straight after import (as in I helped open the boxes and tank them up)
we lost 3 of them and one turned out to be a Dwarf Gold Spot.

So just those 4 in the pic - Havent tried sexing them... Leaving them to it at the moment.

So sorry that you lost some.
You have a beautiful collection of Plecos. If ever you get bored of them....... :hey:

I'm definatly not bored... but I am still trying to down scale :)
(see the for sale link in my sig :D :D)

Went to maiden head on Saturday - they have a few of the L24's in stock.... £70 for ones smaller and not as nice as ours :)
(I have no pride - I'll plug a sale anywhere :D)

I'll certainly be keeping you in mind Russell. We are planning on getting more Plecos and the ones you have for sale are beautiful.
Taken a peek at them quite a few times, believe me!

Well on the sexing front on my plecs. the one right at the front (smallest of the four) is the freebie that marcus gave me in exchange for the 40 black molly fry.

Almost certainly a female (I think........anal fins/pelvic fins...........um ah etc)

The one who seems to be impersonating a CAE sucking on her is the male that seperated from the other 2 originals when she went in and now they go around together (Definate Male, huge fins and the biggest of the 4)

Not too sure if the 2 behind are both male or if 1 is female Can't tell from this pic which is whice but there are 2 definate males in the tank, 1 I'm pretty sure is female and 1 I'm not too sure either way

Also can you see the hollow they dig in this patch of sand at the front. every water change I level it, end of the week nearly 1 cm deep hollow again.

To all plec lovers who love to se their plecs, this is daytime, and they are more often than not in the spot you can see in the photo (At the front, in daylight, please take our photo). Cannot say too many times how confident pitbulls are, not shy in the least once settled, and not overly nocturnal either.

These are wild caughts as well Russell. They were all a little skinny when I got them but they got really fat within a matter of............well I've only had them 1 month. They really do eat anything they can get, and they love eating wood, so its a good job I've got plenty in there. lol

They're absolutely beautiful SC - if my tanks weren't full I'd be tempted by some myself.

What size tank do you keep them in? Are they for breeding from? :)

They are in the 29G in the avatar. and with all the fish in my profile. lol heavily overstocked but heavily planted, lots of hiding places, for all, and also plants acting as double filtration.

I'm hoping they will breed as I'm negotiating a deal with my man to get a Juvy Zeb in exchange for each spawn (when I get a new tank ready and setup for a dedicated Zeb Tank.

I'll get excited if I ever see eggs on the glass or leaves, until they hatch as bloody danios. lol
