Hi all.

I'm looking to get a plec (or two) for my tank, but I'm wanting to keep small fish as the common theme. The most suited seems to be the Pitbull plec (when I say suited, I believe it's the smallest, looks good and does a good job as an algae cleaner). Now, the question; are they best kept as individuals or in a small group? I'm thinking two as I also aim for a small group of Panda Cories so I don't want too many bottom feeders.

Edited (kinda) to add that whilst I appreciate that Plecs aren't 'bottom' feeders as such, I meant as in general clean-up fish.

what size are you talking about?
The Bristlenose Pleco is one of the best algae eaters and will keep a tank nice a clean, and only get to about 5 inches (12.5cm) long and are great with other fish, you only need one, or two if you want it to have some company
