I'm still not too sure on mine.

Definately 1 female and she has stayed smaller than the other 3.

You can tell by the 'nose' that the females are more pointed and the males more rounded, but if I want to look from above in my tank I have to take the hood off and it all goes dark. lol

Will post when I am sure on the other 3 but for now is probs 3m, 1f

How does one in western Canada go about getting two of these? All we have for pet shops in town are Petland, which prob'ly won't special-order fish, and a small privately-owned shop, where I don't hold out much more hope there...

I would suggest getting 3 though as with them being a grouping fish this is the bare minimum really, otherwise the 2 will just hide together all day and all night.

Well, i took your advice and bought another pitbull plec. My first one doesnt seem to hang around under the rocks anymore, but is alot more active, and t hey definately hang with one another. My newer one (and smaller one) seems to keep a slight distance behind, but nevertheless follows my original (larger) one. It's quite comical.
