*Warning. There are some disturbing pictures in this video people, but this stuff happens every day and hiding yourself from the fact doesn't make it go away.

I don't want this to turn into any sort of argument over breed banning, but I do want people to see what these dogs go through because of what people assume they are. I found this in a search and thought it was important enough to share. I realize people have differing views on this, and some could care less, but it really is something to care about. Because people are getting certain dog breeds banned and if a few people can decide what choices you have in getting a dog then none of them are safe. A lot of these laws give people the right to say your dog is a 'pit bull type' and can be confiscated and killed. So if someone mistakes your boxer for a pit bull, or a mix dog you adopted at the shelter years ago as one, then there is the chance they will take your dog away if these laws are in effect in your area. So keep an eye out for these breed bans in your area, and don't think they won't effect you in the long run, because they will.

Anyways, Merry Christmahanakwanzasolstiholiday (can't spell this, it's too new lol) to you and yours, and to all the little poochies out there.

P.S. Please don't beat me for bringing this up!

That really sucks! I recall them trying that in Alabama... it wasn't too long ago. That's a load of crap considering a lot of people I know own pit bulls and they're just rambunctious... I haven't encountered a pit bull that displayed any viciousness or aggressive behavior of any sort, unless they were mistreated and beaten themselves. It's sad, the day they decide to ban a breed of man's best friend. :( Next they'll be wanting to ban all others because of their shortcomings. Let's hope it doesn't come down to that. Thanks for sharing the slide show and know you're not alone. Here's crossing my fingers that the ban doesn't take place. Good luck to those owning pit bulls et al similar in Ontario.

this is awfull, all this has already happend in my area, pitbull owners are now paying for insurance that cost an arm and a leg. this is not a way to live. that video should be brought to everyone attention

this is just disgusting, just plain disgusting, they better not ever bring that ban here, pitbulls are just like any toehr dog and the only reason why they ar emean like that is cuz they are taught to be like that. any dog can be taught to be mean and it aint just cuz of their breed

I hate to be blunt....but id say 80% of the dogs that are involved in attacks are owned by people who have the dog as a "symbol" which has been dramatized in music and current culture. Its just to bad the dogs suffer.

It's wrong I say. I own three pureblood rednose pits. Gentle and playful and wouldn't hurt a thing. They are all trained and I work them out but not to make them mean. Strong and built. Anydog can be taught to be mean. Breed doesn't mean anything.

ok, but the people who do it should be punished, not the animals

EDIT: never mind, i misread it, im on cough medicine lol, my bad. *blush*

I'm sorry but I have to say that I agree with the banning of pitbulls.

Unless you have seen the scars on a child's face first hand then I don't suspect you'd understand why. And the problem with bad owners will NEVER go away, this is why the only thing left to do is ban the dogs. :dunno:

I do feel very badly for the dogs, but I really don't see another option. Attacks on children happen WAY too often. And people fight the poor things to the death as well......they have these treadmills (for pits) that they strap the dogs to so they cannot move and they run them for hours and hours a day. It's sickening what HUMANS have done to this particular breed of dog ...... sick

What type of moron would leave a larger dog or any dog for that matter around a child un-atended? When i was young i was attacked by a Maltese Terrier because i was teaseing it thats why. When i walk my rottie i now do NOT cross the road when people have there little crappy fluffy dogs not on a leash. If a dog attacks a human its for a reason! i would hate to see what happens to the guy who wants to rob me, and mind you my dog is playful, very playful and its cool to walk into our yard with us, but if you threaten it or me it will defend its self and me with its life.

poor pups :(

i frequently go to the RSPCA(Royal Society Ptreventing Cruelty of Animals...or how ever it goes) and i see pitbulls and staffys and rotti's in there who bark their lungs out and seem mean but when i put my hand through the cage they just lick my hand instead of biting it. Its all to to do with owners(as others have said)Rotti's are so fun and playfull but in movies they are portrayed as bad@$$ evil dogs.

its not fair on the dogs.

Half the time when a dog attacks a child it is the childs fault.
I see kids hittin jumping at yelling at ect. Dogs.
I strongly disagree with this ban. Its is just plain stupid. I have a pitbull and it is the nicest dog i have EVER owned or seen befor in my life.

People have no sence :dunno:

It's mainly information on the ban in Ontario, a small sort of test that asks if you can pick out the pitbull, but it also has some pictures of what people do to these dogs and some of it is very disturbing. But better to know the truth than shy away from reality.

Silver, I do see the scars, the scars my grandmothers cocker spaniel left on my cousins face after it tried to rip it off. And what exactly will this do to all those bad dog owners than make them move on to another type of dog? Punish the people, not the breed.

Given enough different breed bans, and enough time, do you really think it won't come down to having to ban dogs bigger than a chihuahua? Because I'm pretty sure if I was a big enough sick bastard who wanted a vicious dog, I could sit there and torment the hell out of a lab till it decided that people were meant for chomping. In fact, I'll get two, just in case. What if I want to fight dogs? Well, all I'd have to do is pick one with teeth...... Doesn't matter what kind of dog it is, I'm sure I could get it to start fighting with other dogs.

This is the mentality of people who do this, they won't just stop once you ban one type, they'll move on to others, or even other animals. Did you know you can get rabbits to fight? Oh yeah, trust me, put two males in a pen and watch the fur fly, that's why they tell you in the rabbits books not to do it. Or cats, I've got a cat seperated from the others who hates other cats, we could fight them :grr: . I'm being highly sarcastic, but seriously, if someone wants to fight an animal, they won't be picky. We can't ban the whole damn animal kingdom can we?

Some people in some cultures make stallinos fight to the death, but that isn't widely publicized, so you don't really care. I think that people should educate their children to leave damn dogs alone, personally I would put my dog above joe bloggs' child.

You cant blame a dog for people's ignorance.

No one ever wants to take credit for that though
