pirahna

hi all

i have a pirahana (10") in a 30 gallon (uk) tank
and he eats a sandeel every other day for the last year or so

but all of a sudden he has gone off his grub ,i tried him with prawns also
but he is not interested.

been 5 days now since his last meal

any ideas peeps.......?

hey, my piranahs are just the same. Sometimes they just give up and want something new. Try other fish, like goldfish.
Dont worry though, it happens, they sometimes get picky, just try many types of food or fish till you find something they'll take.

Mine get really picky sometimes too.
When they aren't in the mood for their goldfish, I give them cooked chicken.
They really seem to like it. Mine also like floater and sinker chiclid pellets.

I have only had mine for a few weeks, I havent tried giving them any live food yet and probably only will as an occasional snack. The main diet for them is and will be frozen shrimp and Hikari floating food sticks for carnivores.

Maybe she had just had to many of them, she may fancy a change.
